Today, we were welcomed by Tewkesbury C. of E. as they hosted our highly anticipated friendly football match. It was great to see many parents and staff from both schools supporting the players. The teams posed for a group photo before the game as many of the players are friends and play football together outside of school. Again, our lads demonstrated one of our core values - community.
Our team performed really well, playing with determination, passion and, of course, a positive attitude. Louis Corless opened the scoring early in the game, but today it seemed as though things would not go our way, and as the game progressed we ended up conceding five times. However, it was pleasing to see the team refusing to give up and maintaining the right spirit throughout the game. It was also good to see how much it mattered to our players. Despite losing 5-1 to a very good C. of E. side, the team can take many positives about the quality of their own play. I am proud of you lads - well done!
