Well done to the 19 children from Tirlebrook who took part in the Cheltenham and North Tewkesbury School Sports Network's Rugby World Cup Tag Rugby Festival. Tirlebrook's players were split into two teams and played as Tonga and Georgia in the competition. Well done to Harriet, Lucie, Saul, Sam and Danny who represented Y6. They all played in the Tongan team who, on the day, won once, drew once and lost four times. All of the games were very close and there was some great rugby on show, with the team gaining confidence as the day went on. It was particularly good to see the Y6 children encouraging the younger members of their team. After missing out on the quarter-finals, Tirlebrook's two teams played each other in a friendly that finished 4-4. Tonga then went on to beat Ireland 5-4, whilst Georgia drew with Argentina. It was a great day for everyone - well done!
