This afternoon we discussed about the sugar content in coca-cola and we did an experiment with water to show this; then we learned about how nutrients are transported through our body.
Our experiment showed a can of diet cola being placed in a container of water alongside a can of non-diet cola and the level at which they float is compared. The diet cola floats closer to the water’s surface than the non-diet coke suggesting that the liquid inside has a lower density. A plastic cup is placed on the top of the diet cola can and sugar is spooned into it until it sinks to the same level as the non-diet coke. The amount of sugar it takes to do this is comparable to the amount listed as being in the non-diet cola.
