This morning we watched a very special Ten Pieces Party Live Lesson which came live to schools all around the UK from BBC Hoddinott Hall in the Wales Millennium Centre.
Featuring the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and special guests from the field of music, the lesson was aimed at Key Stage 2 Level students. It explored aspects of rhythm, melody, tempo and dynamics through three of the pieces from both Ten Pieces I and Ten Pieces II:Bernstein's 'Mambo' from Symphonic Dances from 'West Side Story', Mozart's Horn Concerto No. 4 (3rd movement) andMussorgsky's A Night on the Bare Mountain.
