Nine of our Year 6 boys represented the school in a football competition at Tewkesbury School. Four tough games were all tightly fought with Tirlebrook victorious once and drawing the remaining 3 games. 1-0 (Vs Tewkesbury C of E),1-1 ( Vs Carrant Brook), 1-1 (Vs John Moore), 0-0 (Vs Mitton).
The team showed great courage and resilience; they pulled together when games looked tough and played with equal measures of tactical awareness and enthusiasm. Captained by William Haslum, the team also consisted of: Rhys Davis, Danny Etheridge, Elliot Thomas, Zac Jones, Alfie Dowding, Fraser Matharu, Harrison Murch and Jonathan Peirce. Together they should be proud of the positive attitude they displayed in the community and their second place finish in the competition.

I always really enjoy playing for the school team. I feel that we played well and understood each other well. I hope it is the start of some brilliant football tournaments for Tirlebrook school.
