It was early hours of the morning and lighting struck and the rain crackled onto the roof tops of our, old house. Trees swaying side-to-side. Then suddenly CRASH! as we looked something was appearing through a crack, in the ground,an old tree stump with some rusty weird looking legs, leaning on it.
what could it be?
we’re did it come from?
I had better tell my mum and dad but they said i don’t know either, this was strange so i run up back up to my room to see if it would move if not it would be a statue. Where did it come from? did it fall from the sky?
Great work Megan; I love your expanded noun phrases that you've slotted in!
SIZZLE! POP! BANG!
Oscar leaped out of bed to see what it was, but he couldn't see anything. In the morning he wondered if it was a dream. Oscar told his mum he was going to practice football in the garden, but instead he ran out into the woods to find out what made that extremely loud noise in the night.
When Oscar got to the woods there was a massive fire that was not spreading through the trees or burning them. Since the fire wasn't doing any damage, Oscar wondered if it would hurt him. Foolishly, he put his hand in the fire and badly burnt himself. When he removed his hand, there was a flash and a big pair of metal legs appeared.
Well done Oscar - I have put it up on our 100WC blog page :-) I love the adverb at the beginning of the penultimate sentence!
