There was something beautifully magical about the Christmas Fair in our classroom this evening.
Everyone was working their socks off to make it a success...and boy oh boy did you make me a proud teacher!
Everyone of you who contributed in someway was going above and beyond. You were fantastic ambassadors for our school and the RNLI in your fundraising efforts.
I am so so proud of you... you were superbly entrepreneurial, had a great team ethic, worked for a fantastic cause, took real leadership roles, showed great manners to others in the community... and the list goes on...
A HUGE THANK YOU too to the adults who volunteered their time too.
But above all, Elder Class children, I wanted this to be YOUR project and I wanted it to be something YOU could be proud of...and you certainly should be! I didn't count every last penny before I left but I counted the vast majority of it and you, collectively in that classroom this evening, raised in excess of £280!
Enjoy your weekend and again, from a very happy and proud Mr. Tomkins, VERY WELL DONE!
Well there's no doubt how this week will be remembered...the iSing Pop Team have taken over the school with us all eager to do our best at the performance next week.
What else have we done?
- Constructed shapes accurately in Maths.
- Looked at different spelling techniques to learn new words (homophones and silent letters)
- Had a go at another different style of the 100 Word Challenge
- Observed the colour spectrum
- Furthered our understanding of the skills required for Tag Rugby
- Completed our Tetrahedron Christmas Tree
- Watched the Luke Theatre Company tell us a Christmas Story
I am really grateful to those who have offered to give up some of their Friday evening to help with the RNLI fundraising at our Christmas Fair...
I will also see some of you on Sunday at Sudeley Castle for 'The Spectacle of Light' at 17:00.
Enjoy your weekend!
What a fantastic bunch of writers we have in Elder Class and now one of our class members has been recognised by other children and teachers from around the world for his fantastic efforts.
Please use 100WC.net to have a look at the achievement in 'Showcase' or write your own entry in our blog to enter the 100 Word Challenge!
I am really enjoying this creative challenge; I hope you are too!
Another enjoyable production from the Luke Theatre Company as they taught us about the Christmas story through puppetry and with a modern twist.
