![]() Well done to the Y6 winners in our first Cup Assembly. Tegan (Creativity), Louis (Community) and Milly (Environment) were all nominated and awarded with medals and certificates. Jack was picked out of all of the nominees for Positive Attitude and awarded the Cup. What a massive achievement. Well done to everyone! ![]() Yesterday the Key Stage Two children enjoyed their Christmas Party Day. In Year 6, we had a Santa Drive competition in the morning as well as watching 'The Muppet Christmas Carol'. After enjoying a party lunch, we joined together with the other Key Stage Two children for our Team Party. We played games like 'Colour Corners', the 'Snowman Race', 'Shops' and 'Santa, Sleigh, Rudolph'. It was great fun even though Mr. Lockley lost his voice. Well done to the Brown team who ended up winning and a big thank you to all of the adults who came to the party to help! Today the Y5 and Y6 children took part in our inter-House Cross Country event. They all ran really well and put in their best effort for their House team. House Captains gave motivational talks and encouraged every member of their team across the finishing line. Well done to everyone - I am really proud of you all! ![]() Today we put on a performance for our Y6 families and the rest of the school. It included singing songs in many styles from different decades, including scat, jazz, the Blues, rock and pop. Some of the songs were unaccompanied whilst for others the backing was provided. Some of the backing music was performed by our own instrumentalists on the bass guitar, flute, autoharp, piano and vibraphone. Some very brave children sang solos. The children also showed some of their art work and performed a fantastic jive routine. Thanks to Mr. Mitchell for all his hard work and well done to Elder Class! Our tiles are based on symmetrical designs that we applied to tiles using ceramic paints. We worked in pairs to investigate products and logos so that we could produce a Pop Art style pair of canvas paintings. These were inspired by Warhol's 'Campbell's Soups'. ![]() Some of the Y5 and Y6 children performed their Fashion Show routine again for the whole school in our weekly Stars Assembly. They certainly had star quality! Fashion Show Assembly from Mr Tomkins on Vimeo. Vimeo.
