Thank you to all who attended this evening; hopefully it gave you a flavour of what we hope to do with Elder Class at the end of next June.
If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to ask!
We created some evacuee letters today; when they were written up, with the correct spellings(!), we tea-stained them to add that 'old looking' effect...
Were you proud of your writing?
Hopefully this was received to email accounts earlier in the week.
If you are feeling like learning more about World War 2, there's a whole selection of ideas to have a go at on the final page...
A massive well done to all that took part in the house elections today; it's not an easy task and took a lot of confidence and courage! Well done!
We will find out the results next week.
Be proud of yourselves and relax!
What did you do? Or what might you do if you did it again?!
This afternoon we sat and listened to how Neville Chamberlain presented a historic radio broadcast from Downing Street in 1939...
We then designed some front covers on the theme of Britain going to war for our topic folders.
Imagine how it must have felt to have heard this if you were alive in 1939. Maybe you could do some creative writing about it on here...
It's great to see those who have contributed from home to inspire us even further with our topic...if you have anything you would like to bring in or any stories to share about World War 2 that you know; that would be great!
We finished reading this gripping text by Michael Morpurgo and made a story map to try and retell the story through some pictures. Hopefully this will help us memorise it so we can write a summary soon.
