The dancing trees
The night the trees woke up and danced.
It was the early hours of the morning and I was still sound asleep. Drumming music got louder and louder. I woke up. What was it?
I had to find out. I got out of bed and followed the music. It got louder and louder.
In the woods I saw trees swaying but not to the wind. There was no wind that night. I was scared but had to watch.
I hid and noticed the trees were dancing to music. They were happy, swaying with freedom. Branches stretching out into the night. As the sun rose they stopped and became normal, still. I felt sorry , the trees looked sad, unable to move, almost in prisoned in a frozen state. When were they to dance again?
Well done Megan; I really like the sentence lengths you implement here - it really adds to the "story telling" feel if your write. It's up on 100WC.net
I stepped into to beautiful forest picking up lovely pebbles. "this is such a nice place I muttered to myself." Looking around taking everything in when suddenly I spot something, all I could see was brow figures dancing in the wind. I merge closer trying to get a better view when suddenly a loud "SNAP" came from the bottom of my foot.
finally I reach this abandoned forest all I could see was brown and black figures swaying in the wind. I decided to take a picture so I turned on my flash but every time I would point the flash at them a new figure would appear. What was happening...
Good writing Molly. You have an original idea here - I really like teh camera flashing effect! It's up on 100WC.net!
