World War - Anthony

World war: the most dreaded conflict ever to be looked back on. But could the past turn into the future? Or could the peace turn into the the hate.

Time has passed, arguments have gone by, planes have been drowning and I have been fighting for king and country. My small ears ringing in pain, shots had gone off .

I could only hear the shouting of our opponents. Mist was everywhere with bullets going in every direction. I could feel the heavy breeze of smoke and dust. I was searching frantically for my weapon. I heard somebody shout 'retreat' - I shouted for my squadron to come but they were exhausted.

Wow, I am completely impressed with your writing, Anthony. You did an excellent job creating a mental picture of what your character was feeling, seeing, tasting, smelling around him. I felt like I was in your story. I like how the prompt this week allowed for some flexibility in interpretation and your creativity really shone through. I honestly wouldn't change anything about it!
