Me (Tom), and my friend Seb (short for Sebastian) were walking down the road when we heard footsteps behind us (and before you ask, Yes.. I know its normal to have someone walking nicely and swiftly behind you, but it was late at night).
Now it started to get really serious, every turn, corner, alley, path even every step he would follow us, so now we new it was time to test it.
I saw a corner and I told Seb when we hit the corner we run. So when we started running the white masked man ran too!
By now I knew he was now stalking us, he was wearing a white mask, black clothing and some black boots. What felt like 2 hours later Tom and Seb knew we had to keep on running but they were exhausted and they wanted to stop so they did...….
The next thing Tom heard was his Mum saying "Wake up Tom you're late for school."
As Tom walked to Sebs house to pick him up for school, Tom and Seb thought something was very odd...and then when they took another step forward what they saw in front of them was unbelievable! It was the white Masked man just standing there staring, with his head half tilted and wearing the same black clothes and black boots.
Tom now wonders if it was a dream or not...
Jade and Holly were twins (who were 12). They were at summer camp because their mum and dad were always working.
They disliked summer camp.
At the start it was fun, but when the camp got new owners it went down hill. The twins wanted to escape camp but they never got the chance.
Quickly, they packed. On their way to, well they didn’t know where they were going but on their way they stopped at a shop. They brought food, drink and a pop up tent.
Finally they ran, ran and RAN. The twins were far from camp, although they were in the middle of the woods, they needed to go further.
But they were exhausted…
Waves crashed into the boat with such force that they nearly made the boat capsize.
The old, worn and sorry-looking roving boat was crowded with over 30 Passesngers from Germany who needed to escape the conflict happening there.
The year was 1941, the middle of World War Two and everything was harsh and unfair. They were destined for the coast of Cornwall.
Their arms were weak from rowing and their hands were raw from the same tireless task. They needed to carry on but they were exhausted. A lonely suitcase was left to drown in the sea that was abandoned by one of the younger passengers.
The rough sea didn’t just dampen their clothes, it dampened their spirits hopes and dreams as well, They longed for safety...
World war: the most dreaded conflict ever to be looked back on. But could the past turn into the future? Or could the peace turn into the the hate.
Time has passed, arguments have gone by, planes have been drowning and I have been fighting for king and country. My small ears ringing in pain, shots had gone off .
I could only hear the shouting of our opponents. Mist was everywhere with bullets going in every direction. I could feel the heavy breeze of smoke and dust. I was searching frantically for my weapon. I heard somebody shout 'retreat' - I shouted for my squadron to come but they were exhausted.
